Hello,
I have had a compatibility problem with the German banking software Starmoney Business 10 here since I started using Displayfusion.
I have spent a lot of time trying to fix the problem, but to no avail.
As hardware I use only one display, but it is an Ultrawide Curved Display from Samsung that I have divided into two areas with the help of Displayfusion.
Windows 11 is installed as operating system.
Displayfusion is the version Pro 10.0 (Beta 14).
About the problem:
Displayfusion unfortunately does not recognize the program window of Starmoney at all. I could almost live with that, but unfortunately Displayfusion interferes with the application to a considerable extent.
1. If Displayfusion runs for a while (1-2 hours), then Starmoney reacts mostly like frozen. Every click and every input is very much delayed. If I stop Displayfusion, then Starmoney immediately works again without errors.
2. with Displayfusion Version Beta 14, a new problem occurs after about an hour. Displayfusion constantly writes incoherent characters in all input fields of Starmoney, as soon as I select a field. This problem also disappears as soon as I quit Displayfusion.
To solve the first problem, I had already tried several times last year, but in vain, to exclude all Starmoney exe files as files to be ignored in the Displayfusion compatibility settings. This did not solve the problem. I have therefore undone these settings.
I have also experimented with the system hooks, but I could never find out without any doubt which hooks cause the problems
Basically I don't want to use an emergency solution, but I would prefer both programs to work together without problems.
I have to work with Starmoney countless times a day, e.g. to check incoming payments from my bank accounts and to make transfers.
Is there no way to teach Displayfusion to recognize Starmoney and work with it?
Another small thing:
Because I have to deactivate Displayfusion several times a day to be able to work with Starmoney, it is very annoying that after a restart of Displayfusion the application is always started in the foreground and thus always blocks the screen until the application is fully started.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions for solutions.
When you refer to DisplayFusion not recognizing the application, is it not appearing on the DisplayFusion taskbars?
You also added the application to the compatibility tab in DisplayFusion and disabled application hooks, and those issues persisted?
Thanks!

Hello,
I have made the settings and then restarted not only Displayfusion, but also Windows.
Unfortunately, Displayfusion slows down the banking software again extremely after about an hour, so that you can no longer work with it.
If Displayfusion is deactivated again, Starmoney immediately works normally. After restarting Displayfusion, you can then work reasonably again for about an hour, until all the problems start all over again.
If you open the DisplayFusion Advanced Settings and disable all 3 hooks (Application, Polling and Shell), does the issue persist after a restart?
Thanks!

It is a little better with the settings, but Starmoney still responds with delay.
Is there anything else that can be set?
If I deactivate Displayfusion, then all problems are immediately over. So there must be something else that Displayfusion is affecting the software with.
Strange, the only other thing I can think of here would be the titlebar buttons, or something conflicting on the DisplayFusion taskbar. Can you re-enable those hooks you disabled, and then try the following:
1) Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions > uncheck "Enable Titlebar Buttons", and then restart the banking software.
2) If #1 doesn't help, can you uncheck "Enable Multi-Monitor Taskbars" in the DisplayFusion Settings > Taskbar tab, and see if that helps.
Thanks!

How can I uncheck the setting at the point?

Ok, got it.
Unfortunately, this setting does not improve the situation either.
Is there anything else I can deactivate, test?
If you open the DisplayFusion Settings > Alt+Tab section, can you set that to "Disabled" and see if that makes any difference?
Thanks!

Hello,
because it keeps bugging me a lot every day, I have to come back to this topic.
Basically I can live with the fact that the banking software (Starmoney Business 10) is not compatible with Displayfusion, but that the software is slowed down by Displayfusion, must be able to be turned off somehow.
Starmoney runs normally without Displayfusion. When Displayfusion is running, everything is fine at first, but after a while Starmoney gets slower and slower. If I then end Displayfusion, Starmoney immediately runs normally again.
Attached is a screenshot of all the settings I have made so far.
Unfortunately, none of this helps.
Do I need to do more?
It should be possible that both programs run parallel without conflicts.
Thanks

Is there any configuration that I should additionally hook, or a setting in another place in Displayfusion.
Displayfusion should be able to be set so that it has no contact points with Starmoney.

As attachment a new file.
Because of another problem the logging is set to L1.

Strange, it looks like the file errored out. Could you try to send it over again?

Thanks for sending that over. If you turn on "Disable DisplayFusion taskbars while this application is running" and then restart DisplayFusion, along with your app, does that fix it up?

How do I switch off only the additional taskbars in DisplyFusion?
You can find that setting in the compatibility list in DisplayFusion

Result of the test:
Two applications are running in the task manager for the StarMoney software. I have included both applications in the DisplayFusion compatibility settings and selected all settings in each case.
I then restarted the PC, StarMoney and DisplayFusion.
After a short time, StarMoney reacts much more slowly to inputs and clicks and it gets worse after a while.
If I then close DisplayFusion, StarMoney can immediately be operated normally again.
Is there another setting I can make so that DisplayFusion no longer affects Starmoney?
Just to confirm, with Titlebar buttons, AltTab, taskbars, and app hooks disabled, the issue still happens?

I disabled everything for both *.exe files in the DisplayFusion compatibility settings.

With those compatibility settings still enabled, can you head to the DisplayFusion Settings > ALt+Tab section, and set that to "Disabled" as well?

With the last setting, Starmoney runs much better, but still not as well as with deactivated DisplaFusion.
Moreover, this cannot be a permanent solution, because all the functions I bought DisplaFusion for are then deactivated.
My display is 117 cm wide and I have divided it vertically into three equally sized windows. With DisplayFusion I have three equally wide taskbars, but by deactivating all the above functions, the tabs of all the windows are only displayed in the middle taskbar.
This is very confusing and makes working hell.
In summary, DisplayFusion's impact on Starmoney has reduced significantly, but there still appear to be conflicts.
If you remove all those compatibility settings but keep AltTab disabled, is there still improvement?

I'm trying these settings (see attachment) with AltTab disabled. So i can at least work with three taskbars again.
It seems to be an improvement but it's still not perfect.

Could you send me over a video of the issue with just AltTab disabled, and the rest of the compatibility settings left unchecked?

Unfortunately, I can't create a video for you because it would contain sensitive company data and would violate our privacy policy.
However, since I removed all compatibility settings and also removed the exe files from the compatibility window, everything has been running without problems for more than 24 hours.
It seems that only the Alt-Tab function was responsible for everything and the compatibility settings then caused additional problems.
Okay interesting, unfortunately we're a bit stuck without being able to reproduce this on our end. We just released a new beta that has some backend changes though, could you try it out and let me know if the issue persists?

Without the Alt-Tab function, everything runs very smoothly with the current Beta 3.
To be honest, I don't know what the alt-tab function is for, but I don't seem to need it.
