Hello, I'm considering purchasing a few licenses for our work environment and am trying out features to ensure we won't have any complications like some of the free alternatives we've run into. The snapping feature is probably the most attractive portion of this whole application for us given it will save us a bunch of time in displaying the information we need to work quickly through multiple applications on multiple displays. We are, however, running into a slightly frustrating issue.
When trying to do a simple horizontal split on my coworker's machine on only 1 (not both external monitors), the windows won't snap at all. Additionally the cursor acts weird when trying to move it between splits and will disconnect itself from the active window being drug. I realize we can use built-in Windows functions to achieve this, but we'd rather use DF's snapping features exclusively as they should work.
Additionally, I've noticed that when I try to disable the task bar with split monitors so that only the primary taskbar is displayed once per each monitor, it still leaves blank space where the task bar would be given if it was enabled when snapping windows to these splits. Is there a way to make full utilization of the space when a taskbar isn't present? I've tried to manually set the height in these conditions, but I get an error that it overlaps and then upon applying, it does indeed create issues and doesn't work at all as expected.
Another issue I've run into is with Chrome not wanting to use the full real-estate of the Window split it is assigned to automatically. It seems to, instead, leave a sizeable amount of empty space around the right and bottom of its window.
I've also noticed a minor issue in moving my cursor between monitors. It would seem that sometimes the mouse will get 'caught' on an edge and not immediately move over to an adjacent monitor. This also applies when trying to drag windows between monitors. It gets caught on an edge and I'm forced to release the mouse, click the window again and resume dragging on the next display.
Lastly, it seems like, sometimes, when dragging windows into regions, sometimes the region value will pop up and show a box and a value to the effect of 3.1 or 2.4 in the middle of the region being drug over and snap the window appropriately into that area, but other times at random, this feature just quits entirely and dragging windows to those regions no longer work or snap and I have to cycle through the "Move Windows to Next Monitor" option for that particular window until it is placed appropriately.
I was using 7.1 previously but running into these problems, so I switched to the 7.2 beta to determine if I'd receive better results, but with little luck. Are these settings that I'm neglecting that can fix these issues? Or are they bugs? Just trying to root out any inconsistencies before jumping to a purchase.
Thank you!
