Hello, I have a setup of 3 monitors: 1, 2(main), 3. Sometimes I need only monitor 1 with 200% interface size, and other monitors to be unresponsive, so all the content would move to monitor 1.
I've created two monitor profiles in display fusion, "1 mon" where monitor 2 and 3 are shut down, and "3 mon" where all the monitors are active.
It works completely fine when I switch to "1 mon", but when I try to switch back to "3 mon" then monitors 2 and 3 go into duplicate/clone mode and show the same image, so I am forced to go into windows settings and change it to extended mode.
I've tried resaving profile over and over but it does not seem to help. Any ideas?

Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thank you. It was 23:21-23:22. I switched it to 1 monitor, then to 3 monitors. After that I've fixed the monitor cloning manually in windows settings

Thanks for sending that over, we have some changes coming in our next beta that might help here, we'll let you know once it's released to test out.

Hello! I'm experiencing the same bug. I went ahead and followed the same directions you gave in this thread, so I'll attach the debugging file as well, started at 16:18:45 - reproduced at 16:19:00 (or very close to it). I have 3 monitors and a TV attached, sometimes I want to game on the TV with the 3 monitors disabled, switching to the TV works great, and the monitors get disabled, however, when I switch back to the 3 monitors I get 3 cloned screens instead of an extended one.

I should note that I have a configuration where I have all 4 screens (3 monitors and TV) all on simultaneously and when using this config and switching back to just the monitors (so the TV gets disabled) I do not get the bug. The bug only occurs for me when I'm choosing the configuration where I disable my 3 monitors and then attempting to switch back.

I've checked the box for beta so I hope this extra data I'm providing can help and unless there's something I can do in the meantime, I'll just wait for the beta to be released.

Thanks!

We've got a test build of DisplayFusion 11 Beta 1 that we're not quite ready to release to everyone through the auto-updater, but thought you might like to try out as it may resolve the issue you reported. This beta has some very big behind the scenes changes that will improve performance, speed up startup times, re-organizes the main settings window, and adds real time settings changes. We've done a lot of internal testing, but be prepared for a few bugs. We'll collect feedback over the holidays and review it all in January.

Please take a backup of your settings (Settings Options Export) before updating and store them outside of the default folder. If you need to roll back to 10.1.2, you can download it at https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/ and install it over top of the beta.

If you'd like to give it a try, you can download it here: https://www.binaryfortress.com/Data/Download/?Package=displayfusion&v11-test=1
