Hi there,

I recently purchased the 'DisplayFusion Pro on Steam' version and went on to download Steam, Install DF etc...

When i've come to configure DisplayFusion, most of the features are disabled.
In the menu, I can see the 'Upgrade to Pro' link, and the License Key page shows I am on 'Free Version'.

Is DisplayFusion Pro on Steam not actually the Pro version ?!?!

The Version Comparision http://www.displayfusion.com/Compare/ page suggests that all the Pro features are unlocked.

What's going on here? Have I been mis-sold the product?

Many thanks,
Chris

** UPDATE **

OK, so I may have figured out the issue here. 8)

I was previously on a Pro 30 day Trial, and before I installed the Steam Pro, I backed up my settings (Profiles, custom functions etc) before uninstalling it.

The installation of Steam Pro went fine and I went on to restore my settings. I did see that the backup was a reg file, but didnt expect the License to be stored along with the personalised settings.

I realise now that 'restoring' my settings, just overrode the reg entry and reverted my Pro Steam version to the previous Free version. I also got a warning that some Pro features from the restore file couldnt be applied... so i knew something wasnt quite right!

So my 'backup' file is almost useless.
My only option now is to manually re-add my settings (Monitor Profiles, custom functions, etc etc).

So, this raises a new question/issue/suggestion..... Can you make the 'Export Settings' feature actually export just the profiles and personalisations? This would mean that it could be used in the Upgrade scenario that I encountered Today.

In the reg-egit file, can you just package the personalised configuration, rather than the License aswell, so it wont be overridden by the licence key in the backup?

Other than that... I'm loving Display Fusion and since being recommended it by several colleagues. So powerful !!!

So.... I'd better start adding my personalised settings back in... if I can remember!! ???

Cheers,
Chris

That's definitely a bug, as it shouldn't be blanking the license key if there's already one installed. I've put that on our list for further investigation :)

In the meantime, if you paste your Steam license key into the LicenseKey="key" value in the .reg file, then try importing it again, that should bring your settings back.

Thanks!
