Ive spent days on this now. Coming here is my last-ditch. Multiple displays+wow will be the end of me.
Full disclosure - until now, ive had this working for the longest. Took some finesse but it was made convenient enough that the quality of life gained from some finaggling made it worth it. That being said I have recently built a new pc. Brand new everything. I updated Displayfusion and set it up exactly the same as before (via reg file so literally EXACTLY).
The problem im having is if displayfusion is running, WoW will not alt tab at all, as as such, i cant get the mouse to release from the full screen window with ignore deactivation either. If i close displayfusion and start wow it will alt tab fine.
The workaround ive found currently is to start wow without displayfusion open. Open it after wow is open. Then use my prevent deactivation hotkey and all is right the world.
The problem is, I have displayfusion set to start with windows and always be running. Id very much like to keep this behavior.
I did add wow to compatability and enabled the "~dont hook" switch. This alleviated the issue of wow not being able to alt tab which leads to displayfusion not functioning in that regard.
it appears to be something related with how it hooks before the game loads or something? Way above my pay grade.
That being said, if i run wow as admin, it will alt tab even with displayfusion running but my displayfusion hotkey for ignore deactivation wont work/sound off/fire off so again - another step i tried to take to fix but no bueno.
any ideas what changed or what I can do to fix this?

possible to delay hooking perhaps? or bind a hotkey to disable/enable displayfusion? Aka have it start with windows but not hook till after wow is started?
im running out of things to try ><

whelp just a bit more info. If i disable the alt+tab handler in displayfusion, alt tab works. However then the prevent deactivation does not. (well the sound does, but doesnt seem to actually PREVENT it) lol. /wrists

well i figured it out, sort of. I can get it to work consistently but it takes more effort than id like.
I'm posting here in hopes someone can help me stream line the process as its nearing the point of ridiculousness.
(to the DF staff - lots of people use your software for a plethora of different reasons, thats what makes it great. That being said - ignore deactivation is a HUGE feature for SLI users with multiple monitors. Practically mandatory. It would be nice to see it a little more thoroughly fleshed out. the majority of the time ive been able to get it to work with differing degrees of effort. However its a different process for practically every game. No good.)
Anyhow back to the issue at hand. In order to get it to function in wow I have to start wow normally. I have to go into wow settings and change it to borderless windowed. I have to move the mouse off the main screen while in borderess mode and change focus to something on my accessory display.
Then i have to go back to wow, click over to full screen. Engage the function for PD, then hold alt tab and slide my cursor to my accessory display. At this point Im free to move between the two without issue.
Any way to diagnose or automate why it takes the steps it takes? or how to minimize them. I imagine it begins with displayfusion not allowing wow to properly alt tab. However if i use the windows key to kick it to the desktop and go back in, the PD function still wont work.
Something to do with alt tab properly selecting something on the other monitor while in full screen that allowed the sliding over before. Now i have to do that step while its in borderless then switch back.
I imagine this is so convoluted it stopped making sense.
