I am very pleased to announce the release of DisplayFusion v3.0 Beta 20. There are a few important changes in this release, most notably the addition of a system tray menu item for enabling/disabling the DisplayFusion taskbars quickly. Here is the complete change log:

- Fixed the UI overlapping issue with the "window snapping" pixel setting control (in Chinese Windows XP)
- Taskbar button tooltips are more responsive, and show when the taskbar doesn't have focus (like they should)
- Reduced memory usage when the taskbars aren't enabled
- Added a "Multi-Monitor Taskbar" option to the system tray menu
- Updated threading code
- Fixed the error: "Lock Failed. (Lock:locksafeTasks)"
- Doesn't try to re-position the taskbar if a fullscreen application (screensaver, game... etc) is running
- Fix the icons in the Settings window that appeared greyed sometimes

If you aren't prompted to update, you can download the new release here:

Also, if you don't want to install the beta you can download the stand-alone, installer-free version from here:
http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusion-2.2.120.zip

Note: I am planning to release the final version of DisplayFusion v3.0 next weekend, so this build should represent the final release. I'm hoping I've nailed down the last few little issues, although I am aware of some issues with Windows 7. Those will have to wait for v3.1. :)

As always, please provide any feedback in the Beta Testing Forums.

Thanks!

Somehow I still keep having issues with the maximize of chrome when running the extended taskbar on the second monitor. I have two monitors and the main monitor has a resolution of 1280x800 and the second monitor has a resolution of 1600x1200.
If I disable the taskbar I have no issue getting chrome to fully maximize.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to work around this. However, Chrome 2.0 (still in Beta) fixes this issue. I would say it's an issue with Chrome 1 (sadly) but there is hope with Chrome 2.

Oh ok, I'll wait for the version 2...I use chrome on my first monitor most of the time actually so it's not like people are going to die because of that... :P

Thanks - I wish I could give you a better answer, but I really have no idea why Chrome 1 can't maximize with a 2nd taskbar. :(

I'm sorry for the lack of feedback Jon, just got a new laptop and I'm reinstalling everything.
Installing DFP as we speak and provide feedback were needed :)

Thanks Peter. I received your email, and I'll post the updated Dutch translation with the final release. :)
