Hi,

I also get a message about a virus found. Reinstalling it, using the download here, and also for the beta, gives me a virus found as well:

Gen:Variant.Razy.10360

Please let me know which further steps to follow.

Regards,

Roel

We've had a few emails come in about this too. It seems to be a false positive: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/5cd0bb7542a7cf88e1b98cee9446643ee972415292ce06512fa64c56c9ab540d/analysis/1454338650/

What's the date on your virus definitions? I noticed that on the VirusTotal scan above, F-Secure with the latest definitions doesn't detect it, though a couple of other products still do.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. Definitions information attached. It's the latest version.
Just retried to install the beta, without success.

Best regards,

Roel

Same here, F-Secure with latest definitions file. Did a full scan and nothing else found.

Thanks for the update guys. The weird part is the F-Secure online scanner doesn't detect anything, but after I installed the F-Secure Antivirus trial it did remove DisplayFusion.exe. A couple of customers have already reported it as a false positive, and I'm going to do the same. Hopefully they can get it fixed up in a definition update soon :)

We've just heard from F-Secure, and they've confirmed that it's a false positive and will be fixed with the next definition update.

Thanks!

GData still flags as virus, any updates on progress with the communication with the AV companies? :/ :| :(

Both F-Secure and GData had confirmed the false positive and that it would be fixed up in the next definition update. If you're still running into it, could you submit it as a false positive again? Hopefully with enough submissions they'll get it sorted out :)

Hi after latest update to DisplayFusion 8.1.2 I get this alert from Microsoft Security Essentials AV (see attached image).

Can you please tell me what to do? I didn't send anything yet.

Thanks so much and happy new year! :)

When I run DisplayFusionService.exe against VirusTotal.com, it comes up clean. I would suggest restoring the file from the antivirus quarantine and then submitting it to VirusTotal.com just to double-check that it's safe on your system as well.

Thanks!
