Installed recently, and after installation the UI launched, I set up some of the cool tools, and it seemed to be working. Later I went to try to launch the configuration UI again, and nothing happens other than a brief "working" pointer.

SOMETHING is still working, because the windows snap to the edge of the screen. But the reason I want to buy this thing is to restore window positions after Windows randomly decides to rearrange them on resume. Can't access this feature.

Rebooted, installed .NET 4.8.1, rebooted some more, restarted DisplayFusionService, reboot some more, all with no effect. Task Manager shows DisplayFusion, DisplayFusion Hook App, DisplayFusion Hook App (32 bit), and DisplayFusion Service.

Windows 10, fully patched.

Hi Steve,

If you right click the tray icon and select "Settings", do you see a splash window appear?

Yes, thank you, Owen!! The same window that I had pinned to my taskbar opens, but I guess it just won't open from the taskbar? Anyway, I unpinned it and will just open from the system tray.

Weird, maybe you pinned the DisplayFusion.exe button that just launches DisplayFusion? Make sure you have the DisplayFusion Settings button pinned instead

Nope, I tried pinning the settings window after opening from the system tray and the same thing happens trying to click the pinned icon. Just a brief "working" cursor then nothing. But thank you again!

Ah yep, I was able to reproduce this on my end so I've added it to our list. We'll let you know if we have anything further on it going forward.

Thanks!

This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Having this issue too. Just downloaded the latest beta mentioned in the replies and it's still not working. Cannot open from files or taskbar. Not showing up in the little action menu either.

Update: Still doesn't seem like I can launch DF from my dock. But I figured out why it wasn't in the little action menu popup: it's because I force-quit all running instances of DF in an attempt to get it to open correctly. I couldn't get its icon back into the action menu so I reinstalled DF and now the little action popup has DF in it and opens the program correctly. It just doesn't work from the dock still.

Hi Nathaniel,

Is it the pinned icon from your taskbar that's failing to launch?

Yes! The pinned item is what runs when the program runs initially. It's Display Fusion Settings. Windows 10, Pro 10.0 Beta 25.

Okay interesting, just to confirm: You have the "DisplayFusion Settings" pinned to the Windows taskbar, and you click it on boot to launch DisplayFusion, but nothing happens? No splash window appears?

I rarely shut my desktop off so I don't know what happens when I press it off fresh boot. I do know that if my computer restarts for an update or something unexpected (without me being the reason all my programs close), the program does not launch and show a splash screen if I click on it or double click on the Display Fusion Settings pinned to the taskbar.

Similarly, if I force quit all the instances of Display Fusion running in the background, I then cannot re-open Display Fusion Settings from the pin in my taskbar AND it doesn't show up in the little action icons area either. In this case, I have to re-install Display Fusion because there is literally no way to open it. It does not open from its location in the program files either.
