Not sure if this has been discussed before, but After an update or new install, I configure DF to not start with Windows. Everytime I restart the PC for the first time after, DF always starts regardless of what I configure. Is this intended this way, and if so, why?

Thanks!

It's not really intended this way, just more of an issue with the way InnoSetup works.

To fix it up, just re-run the installer manually, making sure to uncheck the "Start with Windows" option during the installation. After that, the setting will be remembered for future silent/automatic updates.

Thanks!

I ALWAYS run a manual advanced setup. I always uncheck "Start Display Fusion at Windows startup". Still doesn't matter. Logout and back in works fine, but as soon as I completely reboot the system, Display Fusion starts when it shouldn't. Sounds to me like something is getting stuck in the "Run Once" regkey.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Ok, interesting! Can you check msconfig (Start > run > msconfig > Startup tab), to see if there is more than one startup entry for DisplayFusion?

It only does it the first time after install. Then it never does it again until another install/update happens. There's nothing in Startup or MSConfig Startup that points to it.

Interesting! So it doesn't launch right after the update, but it does on the first reboot, and then never again?

Ok, thanks Chris! I'll do some testing with those steps and I'll be sure to post an update when I have some news.

Tested and confirmed! I've added this to our list, and I'll post an update as soon as we've fixed it up.

Thanks!

Just a quick update, DisplayFusion 4.2 Beta 1 is now available at the link below, and this issue should be all fixed up.
