with the update to the new version, double clicking the top of a window to maximize to a split no longer respects the split. it just maximizes to the whole monitor.

when I open the monitor configuration to check the splits, it then starts working as intended (with no changes made). Pretty frustrating to have to open displayfusion settings every startup to get it to work correctly.

Same exact issue here, this all happened after the 11.x update.

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

There isn't much to "reproduce" as it simply doesn't work.

Double clicking (or drag/drop) a window, goes full screen instead of the expected maximize to split window.

Do you want me to note the time I tried maximizing a window?
Or note the time when I "fix" the issue, by opening the split window configuration screen?

Thanks for sending that over. The next time this happens, before you fix it, can you grab a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Can you guys give this new beta installer a try and let me know if it helps with the issue? This will be v11.0.3 once we're ready. Hopefully this fixes up the issue, thanks!

v11.0.3-Beta2: removed

After you test out this build and report here please re-install v11.0.2, this build has some issues that need to be fixed before it can be released.

The 11.0.2b3 seems to work WRT maximize. It worked for the apps I tried with the exception of LibreOffice which still maximizes to the physical sceen size.
Thx,
Steve

@Stephen: Thanks for following-up and that sounds like good news! The LibreOffice issue is one we already know about and we're planning to take a look at it for the v11.1 release in the new year. Something weird is going on with LibreOffice. Thanks!

We've just released 11.0.4 to fix a splitting issue, and the LibreOffice split maximizing should have been fixed up in 11.0.3 released yesterday as well :)
