Hi,

currently, whenever I move a non-maximised window from one screen to the other, it instantly maximises when in the screen I dragged it to. This becomes really unnerving at times.

There must be a setting to keen non-maximised windows the size they are. I just can't seem to find it.

Help please.

Kind regards

Mike

I wonder where the Problem is. Loads of other questions have been adressed since I posted mine, yet mine remains ignored...

Hold down the shift key before you click to drag, and hold through the drag.

No worries mate(ess)! DF is full of little things like this. To paraphrase the best line in Spiderman:

With great flexibility comes great complexity! :)

But even with its warts and shortcomings, it seems to be an incredible asset for productivity - once you spend the grey matter to get it sorted. Note that I am a relative newcomver to the product and haven't yet dug into all the nooks and crannies by a long shot. More imoprtantly, the developers seem to be very active in improving it, and doing so in large measure based on community feedback. That is a VERY rare bird in my ~40 years of IT experience!
