Anyone here using EditPad Pro? I'm evaluating it right now and it won't go to the correct taskbar (the DisplayFusion pro one on the second monitor). It always stays on the Windows taskbar no matter if I move its window to the primary or secondary screen.
Taskbar mode is set to 'all taskbars show relevant windows'. I've never had this problem with any other application until now.
Seems to work ok for me. What version of EditPad are you using?
The new version 7.0.0 from 16 May 2011.
When I first launch it, it's actually on the correct taskbar (on the second one). Once I load a file though, it moves over to the first taskbar, although the application window is still on the second monitor. When I then close the file again (File - Close) it moves back to the correct taskbar.
It gets even weirder: when I drop-down any top-level menu item in EditPad Pro, it moves back to the correct taskbar. When I close the drop-downed menu item again, it moves to the wrong taskbar again.
- Are you using the default settings in EditPad or have you modified some of them? If you have, can you let me know what settings you've changed from the defaults so I can match mine up?
- Can you send me the info from the Troubleshooting tab in DisplayFusion when the EditPad icon is on the wrong taskbar? Please send it to me at support@displayfusion.com.
Got the EditPadPro7.ini and replaced mine with it, but it still seems to work fine for me. If you back up the .ini and delete it or restore the settings to the default, does the issue still exist? If it does, then we can definitely confirm it's not something to do with specific settings in EditPad.
Deleted my EditPadPro7.ini file (actually, all of the ini files in that folder), and it still happens. I start EditPad Pro. It's on the correct task bar, I open a file (e.g. EditPadPro7.ini), it moves to the primary task bar. I close the file, it moves back to the secondary task bar (where the editor window is).
With a file open, and it being on the wrong task bar, I open a menu item in EditPad Pro, it moves to the correct task bar. I close the menu item, it moves back to the wrong task bar. Looks quite funny, actually
