It's not currently possible, but it is on our feature request list. I've added your vote, and we'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to add per-application titlebar buttons.
Yes, we need this feature, because I am using the ADVANCED options to only have the TitleBar buttons appear on windows of a certain width, but more control is needed. Would be better to be able to "exclude" the buttons from certain applications, but what I need is to "exclude certain buttons" from certain application windows.
For example, MANY applications now have the option to "MINIMIZE TO SYSTEM TRAY" option, so I have DisplayFusion showing the same button, which is unnecessary and actually deploys a SECOND system tray icon in some cases. The application detects minimization and creates a system tray icon, meanwhile DisplayFusion creates another system tray icon; so this poses a problem sometimes.
Would be SCHWEET if we could "exclude" not only specific applications, but also specific buttons from specific applications...
Hahaha, just made it more work...
P.S.
Where exactly is this VOTE FOR FEATURE page? I would like to down vote some features and up vote some features, so hopefully you have some way to track votes based on PAID USERS...
We keep our feature request list internal and manually track the votes on features. I've added yours to this feature request
In the meantime, you can disable the TitleBar Buttons (all buttons) for specific applications by creating a rule for that application on the Compatibility tab, and in the rule, enabling the "Disable TitleBar Buttons (this application)" option
Sorry to revive this old post but I wanted to add my vote to the list.
is an example of when disabling on a per-app basis will help a lot. I have a hard time clicking the 'portfolio' button because the always on top and save monitor position button overlay on top of those buttons.
Thank you
edit: just re-read the replies and did the compatibility setting that Keith Lammers suggested and it worked like a charm.
Hi Keith,
pls. also add me to this voting list!
Reason:
Try once Opera 48 w/ i.e. 10 tabs open, then maximize the window to full screen & then recognize that you can't access the Opera menu buttons and/ or the very right open tab anymore.
Especially bad, as w/ Opera 48, you cannot anymore always show the Opera menu anymore. Like you still (see what happens w/ v5 on Firefox
=> IMPORTANT!!!
Yeah, unfortunately it's not possible for us to detect the Opera tabs and hide the buttons like we do in other browsers
For now as a workaround, you could create a rule on the DisplayFusion Settings > Compatibility tab for Opera, and use the TitleBar Button Offset values to move them down into the bookmarks bar area. I realize that's definitely not ideal, but it's the best workaround available at the moment.
Can you please add my vote? I like to do borderless video, and the buttons really mess up the experience. =(
Edit: Nevermind, found what I was looking for here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/hide-all-titlebar-buttons-for-certain-apps/?ID=eb93e1e2-b392-43c1-b11d-ea5c5a1ab52c
First and foremost, I can't thank you enough for this wonderful app! It's indispensable!
Please add my Feature Request vote for "Application Specific Titlebar Button List".
Where there is a standard list of all Titlebar Buttons that gets applied to all applications by default, and/or:
Option 1: I can add application specific rules that say, "Exclude this/these button(s) for this application"
Option 2: I can set up a entirely new Titlebar Button List for a specific application.
Also nominating a feature request for Titlebar Buttons and Folders as a built-in feature, based on this Show List of Functions (One-Click). In settings, enhance the button drag/drop with Merge together in a folder (list). Like Android home page icons, but without evil slippery slop where they fall together.
A gutter folder could hold excess buttons for smaller windows. As you resize a window, the titlebar buttons move into and out of the folder as needed.
Hi Keith, I'd also like to add a vote for per-app Title Bar Buttons. We use a VM client that goes into fullscreen when maximized, which is what I don't want to have happen. I made a function tied to a Title Bar Button that sets a window's position and size to fill a monitor without maximizing. I really only want the function for this specific program since any other program I would maximize normally.
Huge fan of DisplayFusion for 4+ years now! I can't imagine using multiple monitors without it. Thanks for making an amazing product.
I also really need this for certain programs that have other things to click on under the title bar buttons, some things become unclickable behind the df ones, maybe if i could move them to the center of a windows title bar

You can adjust the horizontal and vertical positions of DF title bar buttons in the "advanced" settings.
