Sorry for the semi-cryptic title.

I just updated to Windows 11 and on first boot things were working fine but then I see the little ">" button near the taskbar clock disappeared so I have nothing to click to be able to show all the hidden system tray icons.

Thanks for sending that over. It looks like you have StartAllBack installed, which will cause this. We have this on our list to look into, so we'll let you know if we have any news on it going forward.

Thanks!

Yeah, I do have it installed.

I need my taskbar to be vertical and there's no other way to achieve that.

This also happens without using 'StartAllBack'.
Every time I switch from my single monitor on desktop to my triples setup (same PC - triples all on DP port directly connected to the GPU, Single Desktop monitor on HDMI 2.1 GPU port), I lose several program icons normally in the system tray/hidden icons in the '^' arrow.
Most notably the program icons that always vanish are NVCP, HWInfo64 - the programs remain open (task manager check), but often need to be force closed as when I try to open some programs with missing icons I am informed that the program is already opened.
If I switch back to my single desktop monitor, the icons return.
I have DF taskbars disabled, and only have one taskbar on my central triple monitor.

This happens in both v10 stable and every one of the 4 beta releases to date.

As a new customer, this is very disappointing becuase I was happily using the completely free 'Monitor Profile Switcher' program from Github.
I honestly expected a more robust experience from a $35 program over a much simpler/lightweight free to use program, but of course DF has many cool features for desktop management that I may use someday, but for now I just switch to the triples setup for playing simulation games.

I hope this is resolved soon!

With the update to Windows 11, we had to change the way DisplayFusion grabs the tray icons. We are aware of some missing, so we'll add these ones to our list.

Any ETA on next update/beta that may resolve these issues?.
Thanks for the reply!

Each tray icon is handled differently so it takes quite a bit of time to find a reliable work around for each one. This likely isn't something we'll have fixed in the near future.

I seem to be having this issue again.

Recently updated StartAllBack and when I click the ">" to expand and show all the system tray icons, nothing happens.

Yeah I was able to reproduce that too, we took a look into it but there isn't much we can do from our end unfortunately. Disabling the "Use enhanced classic taskbar" setting in StartAllBack seems to fix it up though

Yeah, I'm sorry but that's not a viable option for me.

If I turn that setting off in StartAllBack, then the taskbar reverts to being at the bottom of the screen. I think the whole reason why I started using StartAllBack was it's ability to give me a vertical taskbar.

So yeah, unfortunately, I can't disable that setting.

Won't you guys be able to work with the dev of StartAllBack to resolve it? I'm pretty sure there's tons of people using Display Fusion and SAB together.
