I use a program called jAlbum to display slideshows on my website. It has lots of options for which images get displayed and what folders they come from.
Is there a way to have displayfusion launch jAlbum and so it can display my images as my screensaver? I currently use the screensaver mechanism to display form my very large collection, but they can't be displayed in the order I desire (by date within folder). Random selection of sub-folder within main photo-folder is OK.
There isn't a way to do that, no, but we might be able to add that functionality to the DisplayFusion Photos Scree Saver. To clarify, you want it to move through the folders alphabetically, and go through each image in the folder by date before moving on to the next folder?
Glad to hear it, thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately some screen savers can't be terminated via mouse movement because we can't hook mouse movement from the screen saver. Mouse click and keyboard keys should always work though.
Thanks for teh quick reply. Yes, selecting folders (and their sub-folders) alphabetically and photos by date sounds great.
While I'm sending a wish list, how about displaying captions from the metadata?
Just discovered I can specify a list of folders in DF. If those folders could be selected in random order (instead of their current restart at the beginning of the folder list) with their content in date order, that would be great. Would save you having to search the entire drive for folders.
