Is this possible? Or is it possible to exclude certain programs from being faded? I noticed that DisplayFusion itself could when I first started setting up monitor fading.

Hello,

If you open up your monitor configuration settings, in the bottom right there's a checkbox for monitor fading for splits. Enabling this will allow fading to work with splits.

To exclude certain programs from being faded, you can open up the compatibility tab, add the application you would like, and check off "Force Display Fusion to treat this as a full screen application". You can then go into your Monitor fading tab and select "Exclude Full screen windows from being faded"

Hope this helps!

This is brilliant. Thanks for asking the question and thanks for providing the answer. When I'm coding, I prefer to have two windows be unshaded but everything else should be. Now I can.

Should this have it's own setting?
