I oftentimes use the Win-key + arrow-keys to rapidly adjust my windows onto a specific monitor. Although I do have some triggers and functions setup for window-focus movement/resize for some of my applications, others (like browsers) are used in too many ways for triggers to be practical for me (I'm a full stack web developer). Is it possible to add a feature that allows me to use the Win-key + Arrow-keys in smaller increments (i.e. 1/3 or 1/4 of the screen instead of 1/2)?

It isn't possible to override the Win + Left/Right keys with DisplayFusion, but we might be able to do up a Scripted Function that would do what you're looking for, and you'd assign a different key combination to it, e.g. Ctrl + Alt + Left/Right.

Would that work for you? If so, I'll see what we can whip up next week.

That would be awesome! I mostly work with JS/TS/Node and PHP, so C# obviously isn't my forte, otherwise I'd make the macro myself. I don't have a bitcoin wallet yet (which is actually kind of embarassing since I've built integratations with several Bitcoin API services like Coinbase at work), but if you're able to throw together a macro that would offer functionality similar to that which I've described, it'd give me some incentive to finally setup a wallet.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to work on this this week. I will hopefully have something for you next week.

Thanks!

No problemo. I'll check the forums again later this coming week. There is absolutely no rush on it. 8)

I have something pretty close to done. Do you want it to be one hotkey that cycles through the sections in left-to-right order, and wraps around once it hits the end?

Or do you want two hotkeys, one for cycling through left and one for cycling through right?

Nevermind on that, I ended up making them work that way anyways. Try these two scripts out (click Download Scripted on the Settings > Functions tab):

  • Cycle Left Through 1/3 Sections
  • Cycle Right Through 1/3 Sections

You can add them as TitleBar Buttons, or set hotkeys on them.

Hope that helps!

Hey Keith,

I just gave these a try. I may tweak them a little as I begin implementing them into my workflow, but overall I think these will suite my needs perfectly (I never minded the default 50% increment until I put a 32" monitor above my two 24" inch ones). Anywho, I've setup a Coinbase account and Bitpay wallet, so as soon as the initial BTC purchase is approved (a few days), I'll make a small donation (for the record I purchased DisplayFusion a few years back). Cheers! 8)

No need to donate, but if you do, thanks in advance, it's much appreciated!

Sorry for the delay. Donation sent. It's not much but Coinbase placed a stupid 2 week hold on my initial purchases since they were funded with my bank account instead of a debit card, and that's all I have available until the hold is passed. ???
