I'm testing out DisplayFusion and I'm liking it so far. One thing I'd like to see added is a sub-check box option to toggle on or off moving the mouse cursor together with the window when you use the "Middle-clicking to move windows to the next monitor."

I've found a script that will move the mouse cursor to the center of the moved window after it's moved to the next screen, but I'd like to have the cursor moved to the same position it was relative to the window that I sent over to the next monitor.

So, if I middle-click the title bar, then I'd expect for the window to move over to the next monitor and for my mouse cursor to be in the same position on the next monitor, relative to the window that moved. Does that make sense?

Here's the settings area I'm talking about (Under Window Management)

Hello, hope all is well. I'm also testing out DisplayFusion and it's great so far, so it looks like I'll be buying it when I can. I agree with this feature request and also an extension/expansion of it.

My setups consists of 3 monitors and currently I'm making a lot of custom macro functions for my various setups, music, coding, modding games or playing them and web browsing. One thing I do a lot is moving various windows around so I can focus on my primary middle screen. So some nice quality of life features would be ...

1. Triggers can be triggered by a window being moved by DF and thus we could stack functions in the relevant trigger, including mouse cursor positioning functions.

2. Windows moved by DF have a global setting/option for the mouse cursor to follow the moved window to either the centre or same relative position if the mouse was hovered over it. I prefer centered but some, like the OP, may want relative positioning so maybe have both with a checkbox or something.

I'm not referring to windows being dragged of course, just windows that have been moved with a DF trigger or function :)

Oh! I'm also aware of and using script functions for centering the mouse cursor but it would be nice if it was just a global option that someone could enable and then carry on scripting knowing this is the default action when a window is moved :D

Thanks and all the best 8)

Is there such an option for functions similar to "Move Window to Next / Previous Monitor"?

E.G when I move a ms word window and my cursor is above this window, I would like the cursor to move at the same time when I call "Move Window to Next / Previous Monitor" with a keaybord shortcut.

@Manuel: No, but this was actually just requested earlier today so I've merged your post with that thread :)

Hey @keith, just wondering if there's any update on this. Do you think this will make it into the roadmap?

No plans for it yet, but I did whip up a scripted function that will move the window under the mouse, and then move the mouse to the new location as well: https://www.displayfusion.com/ScriptedFunctions/View/?ID=013eb93f-2398-4712-b6aa-6c49b523ffcb

Hopefully that helps!

That's awesome Keith, thanks!

Is there any way to associate a scripted function with a mouse click? (Specifically, I'd like to run this scripted function when I middle-click on the title bar of a window).

There isn't at the moment, but it's something we may add in a future version :)
