I tried to search the forum to see if this was covered earlier, but I did not find anything.
If I missed it please point the direction :-)

I am suddenly in a situation where I have a 3 monitor setup where the resolution varies alot.
I have a center main monitor that shows 1920x1280 and 2 flanking monitors that show 1280x1024.
I have made a few hotkeys mapped to buttons that will "move window to monitor#X".
Where X is 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
(the monitor selection controls work great btw!)

Now the problem is that since the horisontal resolution on my main screen is so much larger than the flanking screens I often need to readjust the windows that I move there.

A "move to monitor X and size proportionally" option would fix this.
As a workaround I use the "move to right" and "move to left" instead.
I can live with that, but a direct solution would be very nice :-D

Maybe to cut down on the drop down spam you could include the proportionally option to the separate horizontal and vertical drop downs?

This is an excellent suggestion, and Kevin is correct, making "size proportionally" a checkbox would reduce the number of items in the list. :) I'll make a note of this, thanks.

Hey Jon,

Any news on this topic?
An ETA perhaps?

If I missed an update in a similar thread I apologize :-)

I have been planning this change for a little while now. :) What I am going to do is add another drop-down and have secondary things like minimize, maximize, size proportionally...etc. That way, you can pair these with the existing functions (move to next, previous, move to X... etc). This is planned for inclusion around Beta 15, sometime in January I hope. :)

Sorry, it didn't make it into Beta 11. This is quite a complicated change, so it's going to take some time. :)

Hi there.
Did this feature ever make it into a working solution?

I am still interested in a working shortcut solution for this.
But I guess if I am the only one then your efforts are better spent elsewere.

I see two "size proportionally" options in the Settings dialog for b16. Not sure in which version they appeared.

Move window to next monitor and size proportionally Ctrl+Win+Z
Move window to previous monitor and size proportionally Ctrl+Win+D

The Move to Monitor #X and Size Proportionally feature unfortunately won't make it into 3.4.0, but we'll hopefully get a chance to include it in one of the 3.4.1 Beta's after 3.4.0 is released.

Thanks!

No worries! Some features take us a bit longer to implement, but we do our best not to forget about them :)
