Is this the place for feature requests?

I'd really love to be able to add multiple locations for DisplayFusion's Photos Screen Saver, rather than being limited to just one (and its sub-folders).

I really appreciate the recent improvement to rotate based on exif data: fantastic and saves the neck!!

Thanks

Feature requests are welcome any which way you'd like to send them :)

I've added your request to our list, and we'll be sure to let you know if we're able to implement it in a future version.

Thanks!

Actually, I was thinking about this a bit more... and what would be perfect is if the path definitions accepted RegEx (it'd be great for desktop locations as well).

This would save me having copies of the images. I generally store my photos in event based directories that will have sub-directories for things like panoramas which are constructed from multiple images. So a definition like "P:\\.*\Panoramas\.*" would work a treat for me, as I don't need to have a separate copy of the files.

Interesting usage case! I've added that to our feature request list as well :)

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and the DisplayFusion Photos Screen Saver now has the option to use multiple folders.

Thanks!

That's awesome... downloaded and about to check it out...

/edit: OK... I may be missing something but the settings dialogue doesn't look different, and the path seems to only support a single location?

My apologies guys, the screen saver changes have been made internally but not packed into a build yet. They should be available in one of the next few betas though :)

Cool: at least we're not going crazy :)

Will you let us know which beta they are included in?

If you have nothing to do, you could also whet our appetite by dropping in some screen shots ;)

Just wanted to let you know that we've just released DisplayFusion 7.2 Beta 8 (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/), and it now supports multiple folders. After clicking the "Settings" button for the screen saver, click the Browse button, and you should see a "Browse and Append" button :)

Thanks!

One little bug: spaces in the path are not correctly handled :-[

Just tested here and spaces seemed to work for me. Could you send me a screenshot of the path you tried that didn't work?

OK... odd ???

Spaces are definitely not a problem, but some of the settings must be creating a conflict:
  • Behaviour:=Staggered Image Change + Transition:=Cross Fade fail on my Cintiq
  • Whereas the same settings are not failing on my Dell

When the settings are as above the Cintiq remains black.

Sorry for blaming the spaces too quickly...

Ah ok, thanks! We're fixing up a few more issues with these new settings in the screen saver for 7.2 Beta 9, which should hopefully be available today or tomorrow. Could you update when it's ready and let me know if it's still busted for you?
