First off, I'm a new DF user, and I must tip my hat to the developers. Great software, lightweight, and worth the price - thanks!

The feature I'm looking for seems unique (or at least I have not been able to find any similar topics in this forum). I'd like to be able to save and toggle between two different sizes/positions of an application window with a click. The positions would be in between minimized and maximized.

As a crude example: I'm working with application "A", but need to have a .PDF report (application "B") open for reference. I need to have some portion of that window visible, thus minimized, icon, or rollup views are no good.
At certain times, I need to enlarge "application B" in order to view or edit data, however I still need to have portions of "application A" visible for comparison.

A manual resize will do the trick, but seems clunky and counter-intuitive with repetitive use. It would be great if I could execute a script with a shortcut, gesture or toolbar icon that would instantly toggle the active application between saved "size/position1" and "size/position2".

I realize I may be asking for the impossible, but I seem to recall having this functionality (or something similar) using Compiz on a gnome desktop.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

We've put together a script that can toggle a Window between two sizes for you. Here's how to set it up:
  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab, click the "Download Scripted" button
  • Double-click the script named "Toggle Window Between Two Sizes"
  • Edit the "smallSize" and "largeSize" variables at the top if needed
  • Give it a key combination and click OK
  • Optionally, select it, click "Toggle TitleBar Button" (to add it to the caption bar of every application)
  • Click Apply and test it out

Hope that helps! Let me know if anything needs tweaking on that script :)

Thanks!

Thank you so much! My hospital's firewall is blocking access to the API, so I will install the script when I'm off-site and let you know how it goes.

I appreciate your help!
