What I'm picturing is being able to add a Function and select a checkbox that binds it to only the current monitor configuration.
This would allow the re-use of key combinations (and function names, perhaps) on different monitor configurations. Perhaps add a column to the left of "Name" in the Custom Functions list that shows the configuration name (or blank for global).
Here's the use case:
My job has switched to an open / flexible seating plan, with multiple different monitor configurations at different desks. So, my laptop at home has my "Quad Home" configuration and I can also have "Work Dual 24" or "Work 24/19" or "Work 19/19" etc.
I use the Ctrl + Win + Keypad keys to move windows around to different monitors. But currently I need a different set of keys for each monitor configuration (because in Work Dual 24, the laptop screen is between the monitor, but in Work 24/19, the laptop screen is on the right -- and in Home Quad, the laptop screen isn't used).
Solution:
I'm thinking all existing functions would be global functions, but could be edited to be changed to configuration specific upon feature release.
Thanks.
Could you send me screenshots of your current Custom Functions? I might be able to create Scripted Functions that would do different things based on the Monitor Profile.
