Windows 10 has virtual desktops. They are great for productivity.

However...

i was thinking how awesome it would be if we had the options to make display fusion settings apply -PER virtual desktop

Here is the user case scenario...

I like to split my monitors into different configurations depending on what im working on

I could do a two way split on virtual desktop #1
three way split on virtual desktop #2
..etc etc

not to mention having different wallpaper configs per dekstop.

please make this happen =)

Interesting ideas! I'm not sure if they're possible, but I've added them to our feature request list :)

Thanks!

Hello!

I would like to see a feature that would make it possible to have different monitor splits for different windows 10 virtual desktops. I don't know if there are many that would like to have this kind of feature, but for me it would help a lot as I like to use different desktops on different tasks where the windows are best arranged differently than they are for other tasks.

+1. I'm searching for a solution for this, too. Maybe it could be possible to make some sort of AutoHotKey hack?

Edit: I put a related question on StackOverflow.

This is probably the only feature I think is missing (for me at least anyways). +1 for this if possible.

What's with adding superflous letters to words? ;)

Anyways Anyway, I'd like to see custom wallpapers for virtual desktops at the least but the ideas here sound good too. Please add my vote.

Hey there! What is the status on this issue?
I got one of those new super huge screens, 49" with 5120x1440 resolution, basically 2 side by side 27" screens with 2560x1440 each.
I'd like to have different monitor profiles (splits!) for each virtual desktop, so I can switch for coding, gaming, surfing, movie etc.

Hi im the OP for this thread(totally forgot I posted this), and a lot of time has passed since I originally posted this. I also rencently got one of those 32x9 monitors and had another amazing request over here

What would be super nice is if you could combine that with this !

This is a complicated issue and still on our development list. We'll be in touch when it's ready for testing. :)

I almost bought display fusion pro, luckily I used the trial first. When I noticed I couldn't split my screens with different configurations per virtual desktop, it broke the deal for me. If they ever add that function, maybe I'll buy it. Please add my vote.

Looks like this request should be sliding higher and higher up the priority list. 8)

In the meantime you can use the free PowerToys tool FancyZones from Microsoft - https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/tree/master/src/modules/fancyzones

It is far more limited than DisplayFusion, but it can do this one thing: different layouts on different virtual desktops.
