I'm just wondering whether it's possible to include a feature to apply the Aero glass effect to Windows 10 app and folder windows. The grey title bars that Microsoft decided on are shockingly ugly and boring (my opinion), and one cannot apply any colors to the titlebars either. A real pity, because Microsoft had an opportunity to make Windows 10 UI more elegant.

Big Muscle (http://www.glass8.eu/win_future.html) is in the process of writing software to bring back aero glass to the titlebars and windows, without impacting performance on Windows. According to Big Muscle, "The utility is completely integrated into Desktop Window Manager without breaking any system protection or modifying system files. All rendering is done via native Direct3D device. Any colorization settings adjusted in Windows Control Panels are respected. Use color intensity slider to adjust the amount of the transparency... No custom skinning engine used... No performance degradation." So, if that's possible, there obviously is a way to implement Aero glass effect on windows and titlebars.

Would binaryfortress be able to implement a similar approach into displayfusion, or write separate software to do something similar? Maybe there's an opportunity here?

Anyway, just an idea.

Interesting, thanks for sharing the link to that other app! It's not something we're looking to implement at the moment, but we will keep it on our list for future consideration :)
