Hi DisplayFusion team and community,
For a while now i have the problem that DisplayFusion taskbar doesn't act how it suppose to. The one that bother me the most is that my Firefox-browser window is shifting through the DF taskbar.
I have my Windows taskbar set up on top side (instead of the default bottom side) of the screen. And so does the DF taskbar. For easier understanding i've included a screenshot of the problem.
It seems like one of the two is ignoring 8 pixels or something. Might be Firefox ignoring the offset of DF taskbar or DF taskbar does not understand where the border of the Firefox window is. I dunno.
Then i have more problems with the taskbar. I disabled the start menu on the DF taskbar because it was constantly disappearing/appearing. Seems to be related to a window focus issue, i guess. Tried a combination of different options of the taskbar, but could not find a way to stop it.
Other problem i noticed is that sometimes a change made in the settings of the taskbar is applied, but the old situation is not removed (for example: Setting up the clock to the left, shows me two clocks, one on each side - right one is not removed).
I hope there is a solution for this. If not: i hope an update is coming soon to fix this. :)

Hello,

1) I was able to reproduce that Firefox issue on my end, so I've added this to our list to look into.

2) Does that start button flashing only happen when you have a full screen application running?

3) Strange, does that issue with setting changes happen anywhere else, besides the taskbar?

Thanks!

Thanks. Hopefully you find a solution soon.

I'm afraid it involves Firefox as well. Tried other apps/windows, but in Firefox, windows maximized/fullscreen or not, makes the start button disappear within a couple of seconds. As soon as i change focus to another window it appears again.
As i think of it. The button in the titlebar of the Firefox windows to move a window to the next monitor is missing as well. Dunno if this is a related problem.

These problems only exists on the taskbar. Dunno if it's related to the other problems.
Thanks so far.

I'm sorry for the late reply. I haven't found the time yet to make the video.
But i can already tell there is a new problem as well. App-windows of any app are ignoring the taskbar completely now. Last change i made was disabling Windows Snapping. Reverting back didn't solve it.

Hello,

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Also, do you have your taskbar mode in the DisplayFusion Settings window set to "All taskbars show relevant windows"?

Thanks!
