Hello,

in Version 9.7.2 Beta 8 when doing advanced Flashing Taskbar set to never flash it flashes in Cisco Webex.
Just search google for "webex flashing taskbar".
Tried additional setting in registry like:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ value ForegroundFlashCount setting to 1
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ value ForegroundLockTimeout setting to 0

With no success.

I hate this flashing with my taskbar coming up during working.

No flashing I thought means no taskbar coming up.

these are the defaults:

foregroundflashcount = 7
foregroundlocktimeout = 30d40

Some solutions around stopping Windows from flashing taskbar:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/23695718/how-to-create-a-global-32-64bit-hook-for-flashwindowex

But I thought df does the trick?

I am sorry asking so many silly questions.

Cheers

Gerd

Just out of curiosity do you know what Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ value ForegroundLockTimeout setting to 0 does?
It has nothing to do with flashing things but the time it takes for a new window to get the focus as in if you open notepad with the above setting, you will find it has the focus and you can just type a way rather than click in the window first. Just saying :)

Hi Gerd,

Is the flashing coming up on the Windows Taskbar? If so, that DisplayFusion advanced setting won't help here, as it only applies to DisplayFusion taskbars.

Have you tried disabling "Show badges on taskbar buttons" in the Windows taskbar settings?

Thanks!

Hello Alan, thanks I read once more about this key and set it back to default. You are right!

Hello Owen,

yes this relies to Windows taskbar. Short before I read about badges. I did not find in classic advanced settings (I am to old shool :-[ ) .
Now I fond this bages settings in the new menu.
I will give feedback if this helps.

Cheers Gerd

Its one of the first things I change on a new insider build or a re-install, I always have it set to 0 as I like to open a window with instant focus.

Hi Gerd,

Ah yep, it looks like many users have requested it on the Webex forums. based on this link, it looks like they have it added as a planned feature: https://ciscocollabcustomer.ideas.aha.io/ideas/WXCUST-I-626

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
