Great program that has improved since the last time i tried it, but i have had some issues.

My setup is a little awkward for me. I have a projector as a second display which is obviously not always on, and because the projectors native resolution is 1280*720, i normally have to have my pc at the same resolution because i use the projector for 3d playback and anything higher messes this up. I also have to have the projector as the primary display for this also. One issue i have that i was pleased to see you were addressing was forcing applications to display on a chosen display (in my case need to display on the pc monitor because the primary projector is not good as its not always on and most (if not all) apps open on the projector side.

I then added to the list all the apps that i want to display on the pc monitor. Most work, but i notice they do open on the intended display, then disappear and reappear on the chosen screen. Seemed like a hack/work around by what i was seeing. Then the snag! not all apps work, and its this main reason why i will wait till it gets fixed hopefully. Programs like 'Power Dvd 11 Ultra' refuse to display on the chosen screen no matter what i did. Is this just a bug and can get fixed, or just something that cant be bypassed?

It would also be nice to be able to save your list of added applications as mine was getting large before i was forced to uninstall it. Seemed a shame after all the lengthy time i spent adding the programs to try them out.

Another issue, was my pc was only displaying a 720 desktop wallpaper on my pc monitor (that was set to 1080). It was in the centre of the screen with a large black border all around. Stretch/fill did not fix this. It was if both displays had there own chosen resolution, yet the 720 desktop area of primary display 1 was being shared with display 2 (that was at 1080).

I did find the program a little cumbersome and confusing. But just me trying to find the features i wanted to try out i suspect. Because i use an nvidia card, the nvidia software is normally already set for both displays but your software makes me concerned both programs would clash with each other and cause a crash. It did crash at one point but i wasnt sure why. As i say, because my graphics card already has a program to control dual display, i never know if i should just leave the nvidia one alone and your software overrides it instead. I did also notice that although you have the ability to have multple screensavers, the windows 7 themes function did cause some issues, as your program only really gives the user the ability to jsut have static wallpaper on each display.

Keep up the good work. I was <that close> to buying it as well :)

I'll certainly check out Power DVD 11 to see if we can fix it up. If you find any other applications that don't get moved by the Window Location rules, just let us know and we'll see what we can do :)

You can save all of the DisplayFusion Settings to a .reg file using the "Backup Settings" button on the Options tab. Also, if you uninstall DisplayFusion, but answer 'No' to the complete uninstall option, all settings will be retained for the next time you install it.

As for the wallpaper, if you set the DisplayFusion Wallpaper Size Mode (http://www.displayfusion.com/Help/#wallpaper) to "Fit Best and Maintain Aspect Ratio (Clip Edges)," that should hopefully solve the wallpaper issue.

The Nvidia software shouldn't interfere with DisplayFusion, but if you do find any issues with compatibility between the Nvidia software and DisplayFusion, please let us know :)

If you'd like another trial in the future, just let me know and I'll send one over.

Thanks!

Just a quick update, I wasn't able to find a trial version of PowerDVD 11 to test with, so I've emailed the support team at Cyberlink to see if they can provide me with one. Once I'm able to get one, I'll be checking out the issues with PowerDVD 11 and Window Location.

Thanks!

Many thanks for trying to solve this issue i'm having. I can confirm trying to locate a trial version of PowerDVD 11 is difficult now, as version 12 has superceded it. I was able to find a trial though.

I tried that one out, but couldn't do anything in the UI. PowerDVD would launch, but the whole UI is unresponsive, no matter what I do. Even tried it in a clean installation. I'll have to wait until I hear back from the Cyberlink support team.

Thanks anyways!

Drat, that's a set back for me. I was really hoping you could get the thing working. Grateful that you tried though. I don't
hold out much hope hearing from Cyberlink. If however you do miraculously hear from them, or better still you manage
to get pdvd11 to work within displayfusion then i would appreciate knowing about it.

All the best!

No worries! I just heard back from them, and their recommendation was to try PowerDVD 12 :/

I've replied back again explaining that it's fine in PowerDVD 12, but I'm sure a lot of our customers still use PowerDVD 11, so we'd like to get it fixed up. If they are finally able to give me a working copy, we'll get it tested and hopefully fixed up.

Thanks!

Crikey, didn't realise version 12 worked ok. I dont fancy upgrading to version 12 as its turning into bloatware really and i cant justify forking out £40 more. They brought out version 12 two months after i bought version 11 :/

Cant for the life of me think what is so radically different between the versions thats preventing it from working. Oh well, it's in good hands i'm sure (you i mean) so i will check back every now and then and see how this and other fixes are going.

Much obliged for the updates!
