win xp sp 3, google chrome.
i want to force an application to a specific monitor. i have 1 browser window in monitor 2 and keep it there. whenever a new browser window is opened, it also launces still launches monitor 2. BUT i want additional opened browsers to always open in monitor 1.
In order to do this, I would recommend first creating a Window Location rule in DisplayFusion to force the browser window to Monitor 1 (make sure to set the mode to "All Windows).
Then, create a shortcut on the 2nd monitor's taskbar (the DisplayFusion taskbar) for your browser. By default, when you launch from a shortcut on the DisplayFusion taskbar, the window will move to that monitor, and this overrides the Window Location rule. So you can use this shortcut for the first browser window, then use the shortcut on monitor one for subsequent browser windows. DisplayFusion should also move the new browser windows to monitor 1 if you open them from within the browser as well.
Hope that helps!

i made a Window Location rule, but the problem is, when i manually drag the window from primary to secondary monitor, it switches back to the primary monitor. i would rather only LAUNCH the browser it in the primary monitor, but when manually dragging to the secondary monitor should be possible. the 'move window button' works, but i dont want to use it, and i removed it.
Oh, that's definitely a bug! It shouldn't be moving back to the primary monitor after you've manually dragged it to the second monitor. I've added this to our list, and we'll hopefully have it fixed up for the next version.
Thanks!
