Hey all,

This post will probably strike more than a few folks as being a bit odd, but yes, I am crazy about DF. Maybe just crazy in general. Who knows. But with a 5-monitor setup here, DF is one of the programs I interact with most on a daily basis, and I simply cannot live without it -- it works, it's reliable, it stays out of my damned way except when I need it, and the speed at which Jon fixes reported issues is nothing short of amazing.

Given the product quality and level of support Jon offers, the $20 I paid for my Pro license last year does not nearly do it justice. I've bought 6 more DF licenses as a small token of thanks, and since I don't have 6 more multihead workstations to use 'em on, Jon has given me the green light to give 'em away here on the forums.

First 6 different people to PM me will get one license each, first come, first serve. Once I have 6 PMs, I'll forward your forum usernames to Jon who will issue the licenses. If you're concerned about privacy don't worry about including your real name nor E-mail addy in the PM; Jon can (I hope..?) look that up in your forum account -- hope that's OK, Jon?

For the record, yeah, this is probably a weird thing to do, and no, I'm not affiliated with Jon or his company in any way. Like Jon, I do own a small Canadian software firm myself, though, so I believe in fair compensation for great software. And if nothing else, just chalk this up to an attempt at earning some good karma with the Gods of Software Sales. :)

Thanks again, Jon, for an awesome product!

I must say, I've never had anyone buy licenses and then turn around and give them away before, but I can't thank you enough for your support. :-D I should be able to look-up people's email addresses to contact them using their forum usernames. And don't worry everyone, I will never give away your email addresses, even to someone as nice as helmutjd. :) So, send your PMs to helmutjd and let's give away some free licenses!

Alright folks, that'll do 'er -- all 6 licenses have been taken and I've passed on the info to Jon to issue them.

That actually turned out to be somewhat brief and anticlimactic and I'm not sure if it did much to draw any new eyeballs to DF, but hey, what the hell, right? Was fun while it lasted. :) Thanks to all who got in touch!

Drew me in!
Thanks to this software im going to keep using 2008 r2 as a desktop os. I would have gone back to 2003 enterprise if it wasnt for DF.

Now just to fix all the other niggling little things i have with 2008r2!
