I am a Windows 11 user. (HP ElitePro laptop + two external monitors)

Q.1. I downloaded the free version of DF so that my three monitors (laptop + 2 external) could act independantly of each other (Just like how a mac operates). I think that the free version of DF does not all this? When I swipe on my laptop all the desktops move over to the next desktop. Please confirm.

Q.2. I only see the taskbar on my laptop. Before installing DF, all the monitors had a task bar. Again is this a limitation of the free version?

Hi Kevin,

1. Are you referring to virtual desktops here? If so, please see the second point on this post: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/windows-1011-known-issues/?ID=e71e1f5e-9e07-4f7d-b179-22253db2c30f

2. In the DisplayFusion Settings > Taskbar tab, do have "Enable Multi-Monitor Taskbars" checked?

Hi Kevin,

I don't think that I am referring to virtual desk tops. I have a laptop and two external monitors, That's it. I just want them to be independents so that if I swipe to a new desktop on my laptop, the externals remain as they are, and do not also move to a new desktop.

2. In the DisplayFusion Settings > Taskbar tab, do have "Enable Multi-Monitor Taskbars" checked?

Answer - It is greyed out on my free version

Oh yep you'll need the pro version to enable DisplayFusion taskbars. If you would like, we can send over a 30 day trial key so you can test it out.

Or you can open the Windows Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar Behaviors, turn on "Show my taskbar on all displays" to get your Windows taskbars back.
