I have an NVidia Surround setup, 3x1080p monitors. I use DisplayFusion to virtually split them into the three screens area, however I'm having some issues which don't appear when I run them as three separate screens. When I maximise a full-screen video application in the separate-screens mode, it takes up one whole screen, no borders and no taskbar. If I do the same on the Surround setup, it leaves the title bar (except in certain cases) and leaves the taskbar visible, and does not go into the full-screen mode. This also occurs when I drag the title bar to the top of the screen, except then there is no title-bar, only taskbar, and the software does go into its maximised mode (we can tell, as in this mode a button is displayed to restore the window to non-fullscreen). This occurs with both Windows and DF taskbars.

The software in question is SichboPVR, a live TV application.

I'm using Windows 10 version 1608 (Anniversary), and DisplayFusion 8.0.

I'll test this out here and see what we can do. Generally, full screen apps can't be split the same way that regular apps can, so if that's the case for this app, we'll just have to black list it from the monitor splitting capabilities.

Ok, I've done some testing here, and this is working as expected. We can't force the full screen window to be a different size (the app will only output full screen to the whole monitor). When we resize the app, or "maximize" it to a split, it stays windowed, which is expected.

Sorry for the bad news!

OK, the one thing that still confuses me is that the behaviour is different between clicking the maximise button on the title bar and maximising by dragging the title bar to the top of the monitor. I may just have to work around that behaviour using a borderless fullscreen window. Thanks for your help!

Good question! I get inconsistent results regarding the window size when dragging it to the top of the split. I'll put this on our list for further investigation. If we're able to improve this for SichboPVR at all, we'll definitely post an update.

Thanks!
