I have my Ultrawide split into two screens. Some apps (OneNote and Edge specifically) occasionally do not respect the splits when maximizing - acting as if I maximized with shift held down. This is intermittent, however, I have noticed that if I select another application, maximize it to a split as normal, and then return to the offending application, it is magically fixed. This is more an annoyance than a show-stopper, but something is not working correctly under the hood.

Any insight?

Are you using the Universal (Windows Store) version of OneNote?

When this happens, is it usually the first time you try to maximize OneNote or Edge after opening them?

Yes and yes, however, to "fix" them, I have to maximize a different application to correct.

Can you try this out and let me know if it also works?

  • Launch OneNote
  • Click on a different application
  • Click on OneNote
  • Maximize it

Yes, that fixes it. This is more of an annoyance than anything. Happens daily.

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.
