Hello All,

When Alt tabbing out of Counter-strike: Global Offensive in Fullscreen 1280x960 4:3 Stretched there is this odd mouse lag/stuttering that occurs for a few seconds. The desktop appears quickly after ALT+TAB but the mouse stutters along with what seems like a refreshing of the taskbar. This occurs after I conduct a Monitor profile change to modify the native resolution of 2560x1440 to 1280x960. The fix that I have found is by changing the Nvidia Control Panel settings. NVDA CP -> Display -> Adjust desktop size and position -> Scaling Mode. Under scaling mode I would select fullscreen to enable the stretched effect. Though the oddest part is the only thing I would have to do is to change the "Perform scaling on:" from either GPU to Display or Display to GPU to fix the problem. Regardless of what the two settings are to begin with, the swapping of this setting resolves the ALT+TAB mouse stuttering. So long as I change to the other and hit apply the problem goes away.

In my monitor profiles I have 3 monitors attached at all times. Though with the CSGO profile I've disabled the other 2. 2 of them are 1440p & the other is 2160p.

Attached is L1 debug log. I've reproduced it around 00:45.

Thanks in advance.

If DisplayFusion isn't running when you Alt+Tab, does this issue still happen?

Thanks!

That appears to resolve the issue if I stop DisplayFusion from the Icon Tray.

I came across this thread https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/nvidia-scaling-mode-issues/?ID=68c2f254-9fb1-4843-8a6c-2a1512f45d22 and using 9.4.3 works fine for the time being. But once I upgrade back to 9.9 its no good.

Did you grab that troubleshooting info while the application was running?

Also in the DisplayFusion Settings > Taskbar tab, do you have "Allow taskbar reloading while full screen applications are running" enabled?

Thanks!

Yes I did grab that log while 9.9 is running. That setting is not enabled. I even when to enable the DF Taskbar to disable it even though its greyed out to see if there was an effect and the problem still persists on 9.9.

Sorry just to clarify, was the troubleshooting info collected while Counter Strike was running?

Could you open the DisplayFusion Settings > Compatibility tab, add in Counter Strike, and turn on "Disable Application Hooks (this application only)" and see if that makes any difference?

Thanks!

Changing that setting didn't do the trick. And yes the Log from the first post was done with CSGO running.

Thanks for confirming. I tried to reproduce this on my end, but I couldn't seem to. Could you send me over a video of the issue happening?

Thanks!

Thanks for sending that over. Could you send me over a backup of your DisplayFusion Settings? You can grab them in the DisplayFusion Settings Window > Options > Export Settings.

Thanks!

I've provided the settings for both versions I've been using.

I'm still having no luck reproducing this on my end :(

The only other thing I think DisplayFusion would be touching on that window is the titlebar buttons. Can you try disabling those in the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab?

Could you also try updating to our latest beta and see if that helps? You can update via the DisplayFusion Settings > Options > enable "Check for new beta versions", and then click "Check for updates now".

Thanks!

I went to the 10 beta and the issue is resolved. Though I disabled the title bar, changed my theme to dark mode on DF, and messed with the Nvidia scaling resolution options. After 2 restarts its still going strong and the issue hasn't appear yet. Thanks for the help!
