I noticed I have to bring up the Alt + Tab menu two times in order the window to show on the screen where the mouse is located.

Is this normal/known behavior?

Changing the drop-down setting in Alt+Tab to
Show on current monitor only, show current windows only
fixed it. The overlay is now correctly drawn on the display the mouse cursor is on pressing
<Alt+Tab>
once.

But I do need
Show on current monitor only, show all windows

Attached gif.
There are some inconsistencies in its behavior if a window is focused and it's the first time pressing Alt+Tab on a different screen. Then the Alt+Tab overlay will display on that screen (the first time), but not always (the order of windows seems to have something to do with it). I've captured this in the gif as well. The second time I move to the left screen, you can see I click on the calculator window.

Nonetheless, this is still encapsulated within incorrect behavior? Which is drawing the Alt+Tab overlay on the mouse cursor monitor pressing Alt+Tab a single time.

Thanks for sending that over, I can't seem to reproduce that here with that AltTab mode set. Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached
