Hi -

Now I like DF a lot - even though I'm thinking of moving to one ultra wide screen soon I think it has enough features for me to hit the buy button. Thought I'd put it through it's paces before I paid up. One feature I can't get to work consistently is the highlight window function.

I can highlight a window - changing its frame to say red. If I then change it to green it will change but flashes red then green each time I move to the window...and try as I might I cannot remove the highlights from windows - tried several key combinations but this is one DF feature I cannot get to work.

Searched but found no fix in other replies.

Interesting! We'll test this out here to see what we can find out. Sounds like it's just not removing the highlight before creating the new one, which we should be able to fix up pretty easily.

Also, there's a "Highlight Window: Disable All Highlights" function that should turn off all highlighting. You'll need to give it a key combination on the Settings > Functions tab, as it doesn't have one by default.

We've tested this out here, but couldn't reproduce the same issue. Which version of Windows are you running? Also, are you running the built-in "Highlight Window" function, or are you setting up the highlight in a scripted function?

Win 7 - I7 4790 - 8GB - NVidia GTX770 latest driver

I still find this highlight option very hit and miss. I've got the highlight window function key mapped to CTRL-WIN-# and remove all highlights to CTRL-WIN-/

First time I select highlight with the key combo up pops the color select window with red chosen if I click OK the monitor displays correctly with the red border. I can then delete this with the remove highlight key combo - If I select a highlight again and click OK it doesn't highlight the border this time.

If I change the color the first time it doesn't highlight the border. OK, this isn't an enormous problem but it's a feature that I might use as I teach a bit.

Yup, there's definitely a bug there! I was testing it by using the TitleBar Buttons, not hotkeys. When I use the hotkeys, I get the same behaviour as you. I've added this to our list, and we'll be sure to let you know when we've gotten it all fixed up :)

Thanks!

This old bug has finally been fixed! We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) with this issue resolved. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
