Here's what I want to do. I have a set layout of applications that are always (or usually) open. I already am using the CreateWindow toggle to move those apps to the virtual screen split locations.
However, there are a number of situations that mess this up. For instance, when I remote desktop into an already logged in machine (or just undock the computer from the docking station), i'm essentially going from 4 monitors to 1. Then, when I log back into the desktop (or re-dock the laptop) i'm going from 1 back to 4.
I want that when I log in, it moves the apps back to the triggered location. I looked at triggers, and there's an "Unlock desktop" function, but it doesn't allow you to select any application window movement. I tried having it run the Restore from Saved position, but this does not seem to restore the windows to the virtual splits. It causes the saved app positions to maximize on the full display.
Is there some way to trigger other triggers when an event happens? Is there some way to trigger those events with a key combination?
As a side note, is there any way to trigger on window Show (or Unhide)? I am using Skype for Business, and it appears that the primary message window (not the main window) is created when the app opens, but not visible. When you click on a user to message, it doesn't actually "Create" the window, it just unhides it. I want on Unhide to also trigger moving to the correct location.
Also, is there any way to select different monitor profiles based on the number of monitors (or does it do this already if the number of monitors match the saved profile?) So I can keep an undocked or remote desktop profile, and a regular profile.

I've sort of figured out a solution for now.
I manually save window positions, then on Unlock I restore saved window positions. It mostly works, but can get confused.
So what I do is lock the workstation and unlock it if I need to "reset" my windows. Goofy, but works.
