I would like to be able to get the path and filename of the current wallpaper on a monitor, when DF is randomly cycling them. I know I can do this by going to Desktop Wallpaper, but I would like to get it from the desktop context menu. A copy of the path on the clipboard, or opening explorer with the image selected... whatever works. I don't just want it displayed on the screen all the time (I seem to recall this is an option, might be wrong).

The reason is that I have a huge local image collection that I use for random wallpapers, and occasionally I see one that I want to do something with (occasionally that's delete it because it's one that my wife would slap me for!). It would be quicker to just have a menu entry to help me out, and sometimes if I go to Desktop Wallpaper, by the time that has loaded the wallpaper has been changed again and I miss the one I wanted.

I can't see anything in the API functions, just ones that relate to the wallpaper profile. Also, I guess it's a little tricky with multiple monitors and different wallpapers. But still... is there a way?

On a related note, I reported some time ago that opening the wallpaper in explorer from Desktop Wallpaper often fails to select the wallpaper, although explorer is opened in the correct folder. This is still happening regularly. It's not a big deal as clicking the option a second time always works, but I just thought I would mention it.

Do you have the desktop context menu enabled on the DisplayFusion Settings > Options tab? If so, you should be able to just right-click the desktop and navigate to DisplayFusion > Open Wallpaper Image in Windows Explorer :)

Regarding it not always selecting the right file, there isn't much we can do there. We just send a single command line to explorer.exe to ask it to open the folder and select the file. I'm not sure why it just doesn't work some times :(

Thank you Keith!

Now I'm little embarrassed ... and very impressed.

I had completely forgotten than when I set this up ages ago I used a custom context menu. I don't recall that option before - I see from checking the change log that it was added in September. Nice one! It does exactly what I wanted.

You must have been reading my mind back then... and I should have been reading the change logs occasionally. I wonder what else I've missed?

The explorer thing is (I guess) because I have some very large folders, and perhaps explorer sort of times out on selecting the file before the whole folder is scanned. No worries, I can live with that. It's just another of Windows' features ;)

Thanks again for the great help!
