First off, thanks for making such flexible and awesome software. I've been using DisplayFusion for many years, and have never had any issues with it. It's a great product!
I'm using DisplayFusion 9.1 from Steam
I've read that there is now support for video wallpapers. The support covers anything from animated Gif's to full blown MKV videos.
To test this, I recently added a MKV video to my wallpaper folder.... however, when my wallpapers are randomizing, the video never come up?
I realized I never actually changed any settings or enable video playback or anything like that... but I cannot seem to find any such settings after digging around for a bit.
It may also be noted that I have 3 monitors, all three are set to the same wallpaper folder, and all 3 are set to randomize.
What am I missing? How do I get the videos to start acting as the wallpaper? Am I able to randomize it with all my other wallpaper pics?
If there is an article, or thread someone can point me to that would work as well, but my searching did not turn up a lot of info.
Thanks for the help!

I found that i can change the files source away from "My Images" and choose "My Videos", though it seems if I go that direction, it wont randomize along with all my images.
I could set it up so that one of my three monitors is the only one to play video... but even then, my video is not playing as the wallpaper, it's just a plain black screen, after choosing "My Videos" and "Add File" and selecting my MKV file.
The MKV file in question is a 720P file that's like an hour long, and a gigabye large. I dont know if that might have something to do with it?

I agree with the above poster. I cannot make "My Videos" random. It goes in order no matter what I do. Is there any fix for this?
Thanks.
@ALTInsider: Could you attach a backup of your settings? (Settings > Options > Export)

i have 9.5. so i have four monitors. i only wanted video wallpaper on one. it never worked. do all four monitors have to be set to video wallpaer for it to work? i haven't had time to try that (don't like messing with the monitors when we are open). i did try it on one, and it didn't work, just showed the solid color background. the other three are set to images and had no problem.

@John495: You shouldn't need to have it enabled for all monitors, no. Do you have a codec pack installed? DisplayFusion uses the Windows media stuff to play the videos, so you need to have the codecs for the file type you're playing.

i use VLC, they all play in VLC. do i need to make sure they play in windows media player and if they don't, install a codec?
all my videos play fine in windows media player, display fusion just shows the solid back ground, color.
i tried all monitors as 'my video' that didn't work either. it simply does not want to play videos as a screen saver.
it doesn't matter if i ignore timers or enable or disable wallpaper slide show; or a single video or a folder.
maybe 'downgrade' to 9.1?
SOLVED! I HAD to install the cccp codec. you made it sound like it was optional. apparently it was required. all my videos played in all my players without the codec...except for display fusion.
don't take that negatively. i love display fusion!

My apologies. That post rambled on so long I missed that. So I uninstalled my K-Lite codec, rebooted, installed cccp, and still nothing. I should also mention I have tried using VW on 2 Win10 desktops and 1 Win8 Laptop 32 bit, and none work - all just show a black screen with no background activity or new processes launching to indicate it is even trying to do anything. I apologize for coming on so strong, but you have to admit the video wallpaper feature could at best be descriped as extremely finiky.
