Hi all,

I have a 3x1 monitor setup where I use my middle monitor for gaming.

When I'm gaming on my primary monitor on a non-native resolution, the window positions on the right monitor will change pretty strangely. The window positions on my left screen will remain the same.
I attached two photos (the second one is how it looks after the res change). The photos are not mine but the behavior is exactly the same on my setup.
I read online that this is the default behavior of Windows, however i also read that Displayfusion is able to fix this - but i'm looking for hours now in the settigns and can't find any solution.

Thanks in advance for your help

That will happen when the game is set to run at a resolution that's different than the desktop resolution on the primary monitor. Since monitor and window bounds are relative to the top-left corner of the primary monitor, Windows ends up pushing everything over if the resolution is different.

DisplayFusion can't really fix this, unfortunately. Are you able to set the game to the same resolution as the desktop?

Windows treats monitors as a grid of pixels with (0,0) being the top left by default. So changing resolutions of monitors affect any monitors that are to the right, e.g. if monitor1 is set to 100x100, then a layout where monitor 2 is to the right at the same height will mean monitor2 starts at (100,0) and if the resolution of monitor one changes, it will affect the positioning of monitor2.

However, if you reverse the monitor layout in Windows display settings (or Nvidia control panel or DisplayFusion) so that the secondary monitor which always stays the same resolution is treated as the left monitor, then any resolution changes on your primary will not affect it in any way.

Sadly not. My primary monitor is set to 3440x1440, the game supports only 2560x1440, nothing higher.

Probably that's the only thing i can do then - however, i'm not sure if i'll be able to get used to it, moving the mouse from one to the other can be quite uncomfortable this way.

You can also position the primary under the other two, won't be as unintuitive. Or you could also change resolution in Windows to the same resolution as the game / move primary to the right and then change back when you're done playing.
I have my monitors diagonally so my mouse can't move between monitors when on the edge or corner of the monitor which annoys me, and instead of that I just have a hotkey on the mouse that moves it to the next/previous monitor.

You're welcome. There's currently a bug with the built-in function to move the cursor between monitors, reported that already and BFS said they're looking into it, meanwhile I made a custom script that works as it should here.
