Let say, we are playing a WWE 2k20 game and the game launches in Primary monitor. Now the cursor is locked into the primary one.

This is ok for normal use.

But when we are streaming, we want to go back to youtube see the live performance and also we would want to make some adjustments in OBS Studio.

So my question is:

Is there any way to get the cursor out of the gaming window to second monitor?

I tried the following:
I tried it with Window Bordered Game, still doesnt works.
Move cursor to second monitor keybindings (But doesn't work either.)

Hello,

You can try to use our "Prevent Window Deactivation" function on your main window, and then using Alt+Tab to move to the 2nd window. Some games block our hooks with their anti-cheat systems, which may prevent the function from working, but it's worth a shot :)

Thanks!

I tried as per this discussion thread: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/preventing-game-windows-from-minimizing/?ID=ab5ec329-4190-4dff-8d63-e9b5f611656e

But seems like it is not working for WWE 2k20 Game. :/

What is the behaviour we like to expect from this?

I want to do the following:

Just able to move the cursor from primary monitor (Where game runs) to secondary monitor where OBS or Streamlabs runs so i can control there.

Hello,

If that function was working properly, you should hear a sound notification when using it, and then be able to use Alt+tab on the window without it minimizing.

When you set the game to Windowed Borderless, were you able to use Alt+Tab to move to your second monitor? What issues were you running into there?

Thanks!

I have did like you suggested but, the mouse cursor is not coming out of it.

Currently I have to do this:
1. Open Task manager, switch from game to Task Manager and i can now, able to move my cursor out of the game window. (Also when opening task manager, it makes the game window mode)

Regarding the sound, the sound is heardable but it is not working.

Hello,

Ah okay, it sounds like the game is blocking our function then. Unfortunately there isn't really a way to do it, without running the application as fullscreen borderless, as mentioned here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/move-mouse-pointer-to-2nd-monitor-when-in-full/38731749-b738-495b-a4e3-db19740a4a0e

That thread also has a link to a SuperUser thread that might have some extra tips to help you out, depending on where you're launching the application from.

Hope that helps!
