I found an older post discussing this and you said it would not be added due to OS restrictions.
There is a program that allows this on all existing windows versions so it appears something may have changed.
This would be an awesome feature just to have fun with and I know you like to add those little things that make your software stand out and I honestly feel this is something that would bring even more attention to this great program.
The program that already does this is BioniX Wallpaper Changer. It looks like they have a lite freeware edition and a pay for edition like you do. I wouldn't expect them to share the source code or anything but I think this shows that this very well could be a doable idea.
We've looked into it, and it would be really tricky to implement reliably. We're keeping it open on our feature request list, but for now, we don't have plans to implement it.
It's unfortunate you don't plan to implement this. I anticipated it being tricky to code, if it was easy you would have done it already and there would be more for sale and open source alternatives to do it but having found a program that does exactly this, we know it's possible and I am a bit disappointed that you don't intend to pursue it.
I know you look for things that set your software apart and I know your wallpaper system brings you a lot of sales and lastly, I really feel this feature would be welcomed by most your users and I am positive it would even attract new customers.
If you find yourself with even a small amount of time to spare, please reconsider this, I am sure it will be worth all the effort in the end.
Either way, you know I think you do a great job and I love this app.
We do appreciate the feedback, and as I mentioned, we're still keeping it on our feature request list, just not as a high priority at the moment. We get a ton of feature requests, and it's definitely not easy to prioritize them, but we do our best. If anything changes on this request, we'll definitely let you know!
Just a quick update to mention that in Windows 7, it will only work correctly on one monitor for now. We're working on fixing that up for the next beta. Windows 8 and 10 should work fine with the My Videos source configured on multiple monitors.
Ok, thanks for trying that! We've got a few issues to work out with the video wallpaper in Windows 7, so I'll post an update as soon as we've gotten those fixed up and we'll continue testing from there.
Thanks for the link. I think Direct X was the culprit. I did have to convert the .gif to .mp4 (the gif was very slow on the screen) and that worked, but it will not show across all of my monitors, just the one main screen (laptop).
Currently set to "Use the same image on each monitor". I've attached a picture for reference. Notice there is no preview, and the "film" icon on monitors 2 and 3 is greyed out.

Hi! Any update on getting this working in Windows 7? I saw in an earlier comment that it would only work on one monitor, which, ironically, is all I need it to work on, but it looks like the update nixed that and now I must have Win 8+.
It's not supported in Windows 7, but you can manually enable it if it was working for you. In the DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings window, enable the "Allow All Sources in All Versions of Windows" option, save the settings, then restart DisplayFusion. After that you should be able to use the My Videos source in Windows 7 again
