How come when I use the Ignore Activation bind in CSGO for example, when I first click on my second monitor it will alt/tab the game no matter what at least once before the Ignore Activation feature will start working properly? If I use the trigger it should work after I click things in the game..

Please help, this is the only reason I bought this program and I am really wishing I just bought 'Actual Multiple Monitors' instead...

Sorry this isn't working for you! Have you tried using setting up a regular key combination instead of using the Trigger? If so, does this work for you?

Could you also let me know your graphics settings so I could do some testing over here?

Thanks!

Yes, I originally used the manual keybind and it is no different. All my graphics settings are the lowest and I play on 4:3 1440x1080 resolution. Rarely it works immediately after using the bind/trigger but most of the time it will do the alt tabbing upon the first time clicking outside the game.. Even though it is already activated. I attached some pics if it helps.

So I might have just found a solution to this issue, but I am still experimenting. What I do is when I first open the game (CSGO), I make sure I keep clicking on the screen as it is opening up. I think it ensures that the program is focused (this is while using the trigger). I will update if it still gives me issues but if anyone is having this issue, I suggest you give it a try.

I just wanted to check up to see if this was still an issue for you, or if making sure the game had focus has solved it. Let us know if we can do anything to help!

Thanks

This issue randomly came back the other day with CSGO specifically, and it doesnt seem to activate the feature when I use the keybind for 'Ignore Deactivation'. It makes the activation sound, but it doesn't work. Every time I try to use the keybind, it makes the sound like its turning on, but doesn't actually turn on. I can't get it to make the disable sound, only the enable sound but it doesn't actually work. I also have a trigger set up as well for CSGO.

There are a couple of other workarounds you could try (disable the Trigger rule before trying these):

  • After the game is open, open the Steam overlay (Shift + Tab) and then press the hotkey for "Prevent Window Deactivation."
  • Try switching the game to windowed mode, run the hotkey, then switch it back to full screen.

Hopefully one of those will help!

No, neither of them worked :(
Every time I try to press the key combo it makes the enable sound only, no disable sound.

Could you send me a debug log?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Run the "Prevent Window Deactivation" function on CS:GO
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!
