I recently bought this on the Steam sale and I'm loving it, the ammount ot stuff this thing does is just insane. I used a free alternative before, but DisplayFusion does not even compare.

Anyway, I've set mostly everything up to my liking so far, but there's one thing that keeps bugging me. I have a smaller, 4:3 monitor on the left, and DF fecthes wallpapers for it from an imgur album ( Love that function so much ). However that monitor isn't always connected, since this is a laptop and I sometimes I have to take it with me. When I reconnect the second monitor the taskbar is not the same color as the one on the main screen ( see attachment ). The only workaround I have for this is to change the taskbar opacity setting and applying, then it reverts back to the normal color.

#Edit: Forgot to mention the second thing - I often use the shortcut Win + D to show the desktop, but that also hides the second taskbar.. any way to prevent this ?

Would you be able to send a debug log for the taskbar colour? It looks like the taskbar just isn't refreshing the theme data correctly.

Regarding the Win + D thing, I couldn't get it to happen here. If you disable everything from startup except DisplayFusion, then reboot, does this still happen? Just wondering if another application may be interfering.

Just to be sure, the debug log is an option I must enable on the Troubleshooting tab, right ? If that's so, I'll copy it once I boot again, that's usually when the taskbar color thing happens.

About the Win+D shortcut, it appears that it doesn't happen everytime I do it. I'll keep a closer eye on it and try to find out exactly under what conditions it happens, and then update this thread.

Sorry, I forgot to include the debug log instructions :)
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
