I'd like a way to keep a few apps always on top of the desktop - my calender, a todo app, etc. In other words, they never minimize - I can hit win+D and those windows will stay up. These then could act like a widget from the vista days. I know you can set them to always be on top, but I want other windows to be able go on top if need be. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Depending on your version of Windows, there are many desktop widgets or gadgets in the Windows Store that do what you have explained. I use Desktop Gadgets which can be set to auto load with Windows on my Win 11 setup.

Ahhh your post through me a bit, apps like calendars or todo widgets are just that widgets.
Sorry I misunderstood.
