I've got a 24" FHD monitor as a secondary display and have it split 50/50 into two, but that makes each window size / resolution hard to use for some of my software / tasks, so I'm always manually dragging and making some bigger and overlap into the space the split screen takes.

I do a lot of copy / paste so I'm wondering if I can set it up 2.1 and 2.2 maximize to 70% of the 24" display when it's my active window. because I am adjusting and doing this manually, I already know the remaining 30% for the other virtual* display is big enough to let me do what I need to do.

* when you break one display into multiple displays, what do you refer to them as? virtual or as an actual monitor or something else?

That's not something we support, but you could create a custom function that sets the window to that width/height manually, and then attach a hotkey to run it. We have a guide on creating custom functions here: https://www.displayfusion.com/HelpGuide/CustomFunctions/

We refer to them as monitor splits :)

thanks for the pointer, Owen. I was thinking a custom function was the way I'd have to go but the fiddling I did wasn't successful so I came here and asked. I'll follow the guide and see if I do better this time!
