I have multi-monitor setup with a DVI connected side monitor and a DisplayPort connected main monitor. If I turn off the DisplayPort monitor the system registers it as having left and DisplayFusion moves all monitors onto the DVI connected one that the system seems to see as connected whether it is on or off. I have already configured a keyboard hotkey to move all windows to the current (DisplayPort) monitor after I turn it on, but this seems like a situation where there should already be some sort of trigger within DisplayFusion that I should be able to hook this into. I haven't found any obvious (to me) trigger, so I am wondering if there is any sort of signaling within DisplayFusion when monitors are added/removed from the system. (I also have another smaller monitor that is shared between this machine and a mac mini that would also be handy to be able to automigrate windows on monitor add).

So I guess my question is does DisplayFusion have some sort of signal when a monitor becomes active - I see the triggers for Window Creation/Destruction and DisplayFusion Start/Stop, but nothing for when a monitor appears/disappears.

Thanks for any answers in advance.

You can use the "Monitor Profile Changed" event for this. You'd just need to save each different monitor setup as a Profile, and then any time the monitor was added or removed, it would match one of the profiles and register that event.

Hope that helps!

That did it - Thanks. I had misunderstood the Monitor Profiles to be storing what windows were positioned where, not as a general number of Monitors enabled so I hadn't even thought of that. (This also explains why the monitor profiles didn't seem to work a year ago when I first played with DisplayFusion/multi monitor setup - so now things make more sense). Thanks for your help!
