Hello.

When a tray icon clicked on DF taskbar it tries open whatever that icon is showing on the same screen it was clicked on. This might work good for context menus and such, but in some situations it actually moves entire window instead.

Specifically Hoo Net Meter, it has a floating window that has a tray icon and not shown in taskbar. Single click on tray icon either shows or hides that window. DF however moves that window close to the tray icon when clicked on tray icon.

Perhaps maybe if there is no way of determine if it's a menu or a window, there should be a black/white list of windows DF should ignore from moving around?

Thank you.

P.S.
To reproduce this, just move Hoo Net Meters window to the middle of any screen and single click several times on Hoo Net Meter's tray icon at DF taskbar.

We might be able to do something there. I'll add this to our list to investigate further.

Thanks!

When I test this here, the Hoo window doesn't get moved. Do you have any Trigger rules setup in DisplayFusion, or the "Move newly opened windows..." option enabled on the Settings > Window Management tab?

I'm testing it with default settings (removed HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software registry key)

Can reproduce 100% on Windows 7/10

It only reproducible when clicked netmeter's icon at DF taskbar tray AND (just noticed) the icon must be in the always visible list, not "hidden"

Do you have any customized settings in Hoo as well? Or just the defaults?

Evidently I was...

With everything default, the only option needs to be changed is disable caption (CTRL + C)

So for this issue to reproduces two things needed:
1) the netmeters tray icon must be always visible
2) disabled caption: right click on netmeter -> View -> Caption

Ah yep! That is probably why DisplayFusion thinks it needs to move it. I can reproduce it here, and have added it to our list to see if it's something we can fix.
