For some reason on my three monitor setup the middle monitor is unselectable, it is also having issues showing icons for some programs that are pinned to it. This never used to be an issue so something has changed causing it to not work. In fact at the top where the monitors display it does show the monitor but its number is red and is unselectable.

Is the middle monitor your primary monitor? DisplayFusion can't alter the shortcuts on the Windows taskbar, which is usually on the primary monitor. If the Windows taskbar was previously on right right monitor, you can move it like so:

  • Right-click the taskbar, make sure that "Lock the taskbar" is disabled
  • Left-click and drag the taskbar to the bottom of the monitor you want it to be on
  • After doing that, DisplayFusion will re-add the DisplayFusion taskbar to the monitor and it should hopefully have your shortcuts

Hope that helps!

Thanks Keith, yes the mid monitor is my primary. That makes sense, so this has to be a Windows issue I need to resolve somewhere else. Thanks for the tips...

No worries! Dragging the Windows taskbar back to the bottom of the Primary monitor should fix it up.

Does this mean you can't force shortcuts like chrome that are on your windows taskbar to open on that monitor?

If so would a workaround be to split the windows task bar into two (one windows one fusion, and make the windows one really small?)

Hi Logi,

By default, new applications opened should open on your primary monitor (where the windows taskbar is). If you would like to adjust this, you can right click a Display Fusion taskbar pinned item and click "edit this pinned item" and then check off "Force application to start on same monitor as taskbar".

Hope this helps!
