The online help for Desktop Wallpaper instructs, "Add Folder: Browse for a folder to add to the random rotation list (sub-folders are included by default)."

Is there a way to disable that default setting, so that sub-folders are ignored?

There isn't currently a way to exclude sub-folders, but this is something I plan to add in the upcoming version 3.4. :)

Did this ever happen?

Is there any way to not include sub-folders?

One thing that would be cool is to have a right click option to exclude the current picture and build up a list (editable) within the app, but if that's too complicated then...

A checkbox (do not include sub-folders) would be enough.

Please make this happen, this is a big issue for me as a photographer, I'm looking for other apps even when I already paid the license for this one but would rather not switch.

There is an option for this in the Settings > Advanced Settings window. In the Wallpaper section, enable the "Ignore Sub-Folders" option and you should be all set :)

Thanks!

Kudos for having the option already, I'm set.

but heck, that's one counter intuitive place to have this option :)

Thanks so much

Glad to hear that worked! It's not often requested, so at the time we added it, it wasn't worthy of taking up space in the settings window and requiring translations, etc :)

Was about to pen a request for this very configuration item when I ran a "Discussions" search for "add folder." Bingo! Thanks much for this — and to lumacraft and Claudio... for initiating and extending the thread, respectively.

Thanks also for your inclusion of a filter box that made the search for this specific setting a breeze. Excellent work.
