I am currently Using Windows 11, 23H2. So, I have set the lock screen via DF to a singular image. Yet somehow, due to Windows Spotlight being persistent I guess, the lockscreen keeps auto-changing to a seeming Windows package wallpaper. All without my feedback or consent.

Is this perhaps an issue with how the DF wallpaper clocks work?
I am lost, baffled, and annoyed at this issue.

EDIT: I double-checked, and "Allow DisplayFusion to manage the Windows Lock Screen" is enabled.

Can you try the following:

  • In File Explorer, paste this into the address bar and press Enter: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\
  • Delete the "TranscodedWallpaper" file in that folder
  • Reboot the machine
  • Try applying the DisplayFusion wallpaper/lockscreen

It appears to have been caused by a setting from AcuWeather that I originally turned on without thought. I noticed a pattern with the lock screen wallpapers that is being swapped, in that they were suspiciously seasonal.

It is a learning experience on my part, but I wonder what can be done with DF settings to take into account external apps like that.
